Police investigate hate-motivated assault in downtown Ottawa

OTTAWA —
Ottawa police are in search of a feminine suspect in connection to an alleged hate-motivated assault on Sparks Avenue.

At roughly 11:15 a.m. on Might 26, a pair had been sitting on a bench within the 200 block of Sparks Avenue and talking in Arabic.

Police say a girl walked up behind the couple and struck the lady on the facet of the pinnacle together with her purse.

“The suspect then walked away yelling racial slurs at them in English,” police stated in a media launch.

Police say the suspect was a girl in her late 50s, 5’4″, medium construct with brief black and gray curly hair. She was carrying black sneakers, a darkish colored costume, a deep purple jacket and a black purse.
