Training program for African journalists begins



The second Africa Media Representatives Coaching Program organized by Turkey began on Monday.

The digital session is being hosted by Anadolu Company’s Information Academy, the Presidency for Turks Overseas and Associated Communities (YTB), and the Turkish Radio and Tv Company (TRT).

Within the opening session, Murat Kazanci, YTB’s head of cultural and social affairs, mentioned this system advantages journalists, and they’ll proceed to carry such workshops.

TRT’s Deputy Head of Schooling Division Mustafa Canturk mentioned the general public broadcaster has held media coaching applications in over 80 international locations since 2015.

Anadolu Company’s Information Academy Director Bora Bayraktar mentioned current developments within the media sector, in addition to present affairs, could be coated in this system till Might 31.

Each the contributors and trainers will be taught from one another’s experiences, he added.

The contributors shared their expectations from this system, hoping to boost their expertise in addition to enhance cultural ties with Turkey.

Periods within the 8-day program will embody combatting disinformation, social media, photograph modifying and pictures, video, information writing, new media, in addition to interview strategies.

The primary coaching for African journalists, held from Oct. 23 – Nov. 12, 2019, was attended by 20 correspondents from 13 international locations.
